Job Description
Provide support to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Platform IT (PIT) Industrial Control System (ICS) Branch Chief. Mitigate/correct security deficiencies identified during previous security assessments and/or recommend risk acceptance for the appropriate senior leader or authorized representative. Collect artifacts and use discovered data to enable mitigations of potential Cybersecurity findings within Civil Engineer (CE) ICS. Specifically, assist bases with Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) finding mitigations by interfacing with base CE and Communications personnel, and others as necessary. Develop plan and acquire funding estimates to mitigate all POA&M entries and present to Government. Estimate working with up to 10 bases simultaneously. Personnel will be performing duties in locations CONUS and OCONUS, approximately 2 weeks of travel out of a four week period...not to exceed 6 months per year.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Management of Information Systems/Technology
Experience: 3-5 years' experience with the DoD, AF, and/or NIST Certification and Accreditation (C&A) under DoDI xxxx.01 and NIST SP 800-53
Meet requirements for IAT Level II or IAM Level I in accordance with DoD xxxx.M Table 3 (or obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire)
Clearance: DoD government security clearance SECRET or higher
Knowledge of capabilities and applications of network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, VLANS, and related hardware
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data
Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Familiar with the Civil Engineer or Public Works ICS environment (Energy Management Control Systems, Utility Monitoring Control Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Fire Alarm Reporting Systems)
Familiar with both process and network equipment used throughout ICS
Knowledge of the Project Management Professional (PMP) role with experience of leading and directing projects
Familiar with C&A perspectives and Information Assurance (IA) Controls experience
Network engineer experience
Salary: 65K-73K
